    A DVD Copy Problem

I have a silly problem with this PC now. Just the other day I put two 256 meg sticks in it for 512 total. Didn't have or expect any problems from that. Well I unhooked my PC to hook up one I was working on. I came to find out that my Cmos was dead. I replaced it. I then checked the CMOS setting...ect. Now when I use Magic DVD Copier on a new movie disk it works fine as always. I sometimes have to back up one of my copies because it get beat up by the kids. Now I can't copy my copies again. This is a problem that I've never had before. The drive will read the disk into memory then fail on the burn. Any ideas? These disks I am backing up are still perfectly playable its just that I like them to be perfect.

It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man's fears and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination. It is an area which we call the Twilight Zone.

A lot of copying programs don't allow re-copying a burned disc. Maybe rip the copy with DVD Shrink and re-burn with Nero or similar?

I think I found the problem here. Its the Cheap assed Dynex blanks I'm using. The DVD drive can't identify them correctly and fails on the beginning of the burn. Its time to go buy some good blanks. Thats the way it goes. I paid a junk price, and got just that, Junk.
