How to flash bios with thinkpad e470?

I don't know if this is the right place to ask this question, since it feels like i should already know this

i have an e470 with bios lock. I went searching and found this bios in this thread
    https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...37#post1835037

i already had found this script before, and it's nice to have the bios now, since i didn't even knew how to dump it! Idk if it's the same as dumping to a pc (i done it before with an pendrive, to an x99), idk if it's the same as other laptops, idk how to dump etc... So I resorted to making this post!

I would appreciate tips, links or posts about dumping and flashing, preferably how to do this on linux, since I'm running fedora on this e470, and I want to flash this bios on it.

edit: Mainly without some specific tools, like the bios clamps, since i only have a pendrive, can I only do this with the clamps and reader?

Thinkpad t480s, completely dead after BIOS flash using CH341A programmer
    by what_1282105
Following this guide (https://www.reddit.com/r/thinkpad/co...g_and_flashing) i re-flashed my t480s BIOS using an external (CH341A) programmer. The flash didnt work, so i reverted back to my BIOS backup successfully. The BIOS in the chip and the BIOS backup file are identical according to windows' file compare. The revert, however, didnt work: the only thing the computer does is flash the power button 3 times when AC power is connected. I've tried unplugging the CMOS battery, holding the reset button and holding down the power button- no signs of life....

Need Clean BIOS/EC Bin File for Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga 11e - Stuck with 0275 Error CMS

    Hello everyone,

I am attempting a repair on a Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga 11e that is currently stuck at boot with the error: "0275 error CMS" even after setup new bios battery and will not allow me to enter the BIOS/Setup.

This is a critical issue that I believe requires flashing the BIOS chip directly using a programmer (e.g., CH341A/RT809H), as standard software updates or resets are not possible.

I have opened the laptop and identified the main BIOS chip...

Help Disabling Flash Protection Range Registers on Lenovo P360 Tiny BIOS
    by abhorsen
    Hey guys,

Hope you all are doing well. I come here from Win-Raid because I am having issues disabling Flash Protection Range Registers so I can flash my BIOS from within Windows using Intel's IFW tool/using flashrom within Linux, however I cannot due to the above mentioned error.

Here is my thread on Win-Raid detailing the whole process I went through: https://winraid.level1techs.com/t/re...h-gen/95478/27

Essentially I managed to boot into Windows while shorting PINs 1+5 of my audio chip to disable the HAP bit...

Can I flash a working BIOS from one computer to another of the same make, model, etc?
    by TyMercer
Apologies if this is the wrong forum, but I'm not looking for a specific BIOS file, I'm trying to understand how one makes a clean BIOS file. So here's the background. I have 2 HP EliteDesk 800 g2 mini 35w pcs. One is working fine; the other doesn't have display out or working USB's nor does it have any flashing error lights. The CPU does get worm enough to cause the fan to spin up, so I think it's posting, but I just don't know. I had it working at one point but trouble started when I tried to put in a drive caddy that had a cooling fan on it. I thought it would be compatible but wasn't...
