Sorry I cant realy help you... your win10 is probbably get "security upgrade" over internet. Make sure to have the SMB 1.0/-CIFS feature turned on in "windows features", and in shares folder all permision to everyone... My rule of thumb is that windows machine newer ever touch the internet, just that simple. FYI, win10 will soon terminated "support", and who knows what else you get with this...

Issue turned out to be my Documents and settings folder was no longer shared on the XP machine. Had i been thinking I could have just
used system restore and that probably would have corrected my issue. Xp machine is my media server which is not connected to the
      internet. Thank you Mr harp.

windows 10 embeded key on a desktop motherboard - inventory issue
        by kokodin
Hello, a bit silly question here.
I work at a school. we have IT class for computer assembling in a technical highschool and we kind of need more hardware for practicing.
Computers we bought in 2019 had unsuficient motherboards for our regular clases so they were replaced before going online with computers for the first time and licences transfered to new motherboards. they are "windows pro for school" so as a school we are allowed to do that, we just can't have 2 computers with the same licence. So i have a stockpile of unused motherboards. Now that cpu's for them are a...

ASUS ROG STRIX B550-I GAMING - M.2_2 port not working correctly with SAMSUNG SSD980 1TB NVME SSD
        by DynaxSC
        Hi,

I have an really very weired issue with ASUS ROG STRIX B550-I GAMING.

Some NVME (PCIe) SSD's are not working correctly in the second M.2 socket. An example of it is the SAMSUNG SSD980 1TB NVME SSD.
Some other NVME (I have only smaller ones) disk do work without any problem, also SAMSUNG disks, eg an MZVPV128HDGM-0000.

The behaviour is also really very strange, i.e.:
        • The disk shows always up in BIOS - so it is recognized, so far so good
        • POST-ing with this disk with fresh Windows 24H2 installation (done in the M.2_1 socket) in the M.2_2 socket

DRIVER_PNP_WATCHDOG error re. old drivers in Windows 11 install image
        by japlytic
In a Beelink GTR mini PC, mine has an Intel AX200NGW WLAN module.

        Tried (only with keyboard/mouse connected):
        • BIOS + database update
        • Using latest Windows 11 image built with official image creation tool
        • Previous setup version for Windows 11 installer
        • Replacing SSD without a slow block (the previous SSD had a slow block with access time > 500 mS)
        • TPM reset (worked to the point where DRIVER_PNP_WATCHDOG error message is displayed briefly after the point of stalling)
        • Disabling power to WLAN and LAN modules in BIOS (Advanced > AMD PBS > PCI Express Configuration)

T470S - TPM issue since TPM/BIOS update from Windows Update
        by T4-BR
        Hello,

Many thanks for the high quality ressources available on your website.

I'm currently facing some issues with my T470S:

        - I sat a Supervisor Password using special chars which was causing issues
        - Access to BIOS was locked but I was still able to use my PC

2 weeks ago, I got an update of BIOS/TPM from Windows Update.

Computer restarted and after Lenovo logo a loading bar appeared and at the end something went wrong + an error popped.

Computer restarted one more time and I got the prompt for typing Bitlocker...

        Intel HDMI Windows 10 issue
        by ratdude747
Got my butt kicked by windows 10 and intel last week.

I have an HDMI switch and splitter setup for an AV rig (church) that I was trying to use the windows 10 half of my Lenovo T440s with. However, the audio will not work; HDMI (displayport) audio doesn't show in device manager and Intel's Control Center shows the external display as not supporting audio. Direct connect it to things and (if memory serves) it does work.

Compounding the issue is that I'm forced to use Lenovo's drivers... as the generic intel ones refuse to install as they detect it's a lenovo system...
