I badly flashed a BIOS chip.
Bought a CH341A EEPROM programmer and 8 pin test clip, attached it to the chip on the motherboard and read it - returned values were all 00 00 00 00, attempted erase but when checking if it was blank I got an error message saying "The chips are not null", when trying to write the original BIOS.bin or anything at all to it I got "The chip and contents are in disagreement."
The program I am using is called "CH341A Programmer"
Is the EEPROM chip broken and needs replacing?
Can I force the chip to reset itself to NULL status, perhaps by shorting two of the contacts and applying power to the motherboard?
Motherboard is M2N68-LA Narra3 (Hewlett Packard)
EEPROM is Winbond W25x80VSIG (Phoenix BIOS)
