    Password protected engineers software

If you have engineers software that is protected by a password .
    How is this done?
Is it possible to find the file in the software where the password is ?

What you are looking for is called a crack or a keygen, depending on the specific method you want to use (and whether the keys are checked with a server somewhere). I can't tell you where to get them, as that is illegal in most countries, including this one.

You may be able to legally do this in most other countries, but not in the USA. The software and media producers have bought out our politians, and got them to pass the DCMA.

It is one of the strictest laws of this kind, and it sucks!

and they copied it in Europe and called it "EUCLID".
can we prosecute them for pirating a law?

        that said,
i dont recognise the law - i may change my mind when i see governments, politicians and police obiding by them.

        so i recommend 3 things.
1: a book on x86 assembly language. (downloaded of course )
        2: a copy of "IDA-Pro"
        3: a good hex editor.
        4: a copy of OllyDbg

            HP Omen 15-dh0052nf power-on & bios password
            by Nopslide
Hello everyone, I come here to tell you my problem regarding the power-on password. It is not a bios reset demand, and i can't have any access to windows. This is the bios and power-on password that is blocking all other things.

My Omen 15-dh0052nf purchased second-hand was configured with the bios password upon purchase (very simple password :P ).

Having decided to sell it in order to get something more powerful, I reset all BIOS settings and set a blank administrator password. But the power-on password cannot be changed to a blank one so I let the actual password set....

            Hello
I removed the BIOS password thanks to the help of one of the friends of this forum.
            https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...61#post3637661

The batch from which the password was removed works correctly but... after some time, the BIOS password is set again, I reprogrammed the batch with the removed password, it's ok, there is no password, I set my password, ok, I can enter the BIOS with my password but...

            Dell Inspiron 15 5578 Password-protected
            by Tegarr
Hi, I recently got a Dell Inspiron 15 5578 for free because it has a BIOS password.

            Service Tag: G66PBL2
            BIOS chip: MX25L12873F

I've already tried the usual solutions: Removing the CMOS battery, finding a jumper pin, and using https://bios-pw.org/. No luck.

It seems my only option left is to flash the chip, but unfortunately I made a mistake and corrupted the BIOS when I tried to flash it the first time.

I got a dump of the BIOS before I corrupted it and would appreciate it if someone could either remove the password or provide a new, clean...

            by STKR123
            Greetings badcaps community,

I havent done this for a long time and want to start it all again, after some evil and annyoing illness.
So I apologize in advance, if some phrases might sound a bit like gibberish or illogical to you.

Im trying my best to fully describe what I plan to achieve and hope I was choosing the right sub-forum for my new adventure.

            I have a Elitebook 820 G1 and a Elitebook 840 G2 here.

These ask for a password when entering the BIOS, but boot just fine from the internal SSD.

            I learned that desoldering...
