    HP/Asus MOCA-AR, need heatsink

Anyone have access to one of the HP slimline systems with the MOCA-AR motherboard? I bought a couple of these off Ebay to experiment with, and I can't find a source for the CPU heatsink. It's mounted with the diagonal clip style. If I at least had a part number, I might be able to track one down.

This is an interesting board, which should make a nice HTPC or office desktop.

Looks like a nice board for a HTPC indeed.

How many of these did you get? If just one, maybe a "solution" like this will do:

I know it's ghetto and unprofessional, but if you have just one or two of these and they are for yourself, you can probably make your own clips easily.

LOL, looks like someone was in my exact position. I bought two of them to mess around with. I figured it was going to need a DIY setup. Though I might contact HP and see if they can get me a heatsink, or at least a part number.

Well, I hope they do. Good luck, though - big companies aren't usually very helpful when it comes to supporting on an old product.
Keep us posted. And if you do go DIY, feel free to post in in the Ghetto Mod thread here :

With one metal post at each corner it looks like it would be easy enough to cable tie an aftermarket heatsink in place, if you find one the right size. Don't underestimate the power of the cable tie either, I used them to fix an AMD stock heatsink to a 9800GT. Card ran at 55*c max load under furmark
