Not that I know of I once had a situation where my son had a IPAD and he forgot the password that was used and when he finally remembered what the password was it had locked me out of the account I had to reset it with Apple but I had prove that I was the original person that had bought the iPad
So I can not tell you how retrieve the original owner of the account email and how to get in touch with them
Apple has made it very difficult to get any information from them about locked account and it is even very difficult to reset one without the password that was used because to bring it back to the way it was when you first bought it
This known issue with what is called a “bricked device “ and no way to reuse it without the password that was last used in the Apple accountLast edited by sam_sam_sam; 06-02-2024, 09:18 PM. -

I have a 2018 MacBook Pro (with Sequoia OS) that I've been using for years with no problem. I recently received an M2 MacBook Pro so I'm mostly using it and not the 2018 one, but since a friend of mine needs a computer, I thought I could restore my 2018 and give it brand-new-like to my friend.
I tried using the built-in tool to restore the MacBook (Settings > General > Transfer or restore > Delete) but it got stuck when trying to remove the Find Device configuration (it asked me for the password for my old Apple ID -now I use the same account but...06-27-2025, 08:54 AM -
by PITERPENYI've been wondering for a few days now. Where is the account information stored on a MacBook with an M processor?! Previously, this information was written to the T1, then to the T2. Serial numbers in the EFI chip. I'd like to know how this is implemented on M processors. Is the account on the SSD or on the chips that are on the processor itself?!09-29-2024, 07:45 AM

by Kush679Sorry,I'm using my phone right now and couldn't find any search bar to search on the topic of macbooks.
Few weeks back(mid may),I had bought a MacBook pro m1 A2338. It belonged to my friend's younger brother who was a graphic designer,he gave me this MacBook without any icloud account linked to it and I had so much work during that times that I only used it for storage while traveling for shoots (I'm a photographer). So long story short, his brother got involved in a bad accident and was in coma and then fairly recently they pulled out his life support. I mistakenly did an erase Mac and...06-20-2025, 09:43 AM -
