on the subject, if you want to go cheap rack web server: 1U mini itx chassis + 2x linux raid 1 laptop HD's = win

just be sure its a good board, no cheap intel boards with KGZ's (and there are a lot of them). atom dual cores or better
    Cap Datasheet Depot: http://www.paullinebarger.net/DS/

I'm thinking that for nose4, which will take over for nose2 some time down the line

Currently I have nose1 (the P4) running everything. nose2 is in progress, it's going to host an up-to-date backup of nose1, along with be the dedicated server for dumpth.at
      nose2 has the following specs:
      -250W PSU
-HP dx2000MT case (the mobo for this is in nose1 lol)
      -celeron M 1.33GHz on a m-itx motherboard
      -512MB DDR2 RAM
      -320GB 2.5" SATA HDD
      -Ubuntu Server 12.04

nose3, which is going to be the successor to nose1, will likely be something like:
      -2x750GB HDD
      -4-8GB RAM
      -dual, triple, or quad-core CPU
      -Rackmount case
      -Ubuntu Server or CentOS

Troubleshooting of redundant F750E-S0 Dell PowerEdge Server
        by omega
        Hello all,
as a beginner electronics hobbyist, after a few years I would like to place another post on this Forum section, given that I did not succeed in finding any useful advice among the other posts.

Over the last years, I have been using a PowerEdge Dell Server with two redundant PSUs, namely the 750W F750E-S0 ones (aka 06W2PW). Unfortunately, last summer one of them failed (perhaps owing to an overheating), and the server had for working to take into account the other one only. Of course I opened and tried to troubleshoot the failed PSU, but each cap I tested seemed to...

Windows 2016 server L2TP/IPsec VPN - two subnets
        by Fireballcz
Hello, please how to properly configure VPN in this environment?
I have two subnets in two different (geographical) workplaces, connected via IPsec (thru gateway routers)
Main subnet: 192.168.11.0/24, gateway (router IP) 192.168.11.1, Windows 2016 server (VPN, DHCP, DC etc.) 192.168.11.3
        2nd subnet : 192.168.22.0/24, gateway (router IP) 192.168.22.1 - just client computers.

I need to allow external (home office) users connect via VPN server (192.168.11.3) to the 2nd subnet (192.168.22.0/24) to their computers (via RDP).
I have no problems with VPN connection...

Extremely Strange Issues with charging and battery on Zephyrus G14(GA401)
        by DaLZy
I have recently come into possession of a G14 that cannot detect or charge it's battery. Initially both windows and the bios agreed that the battery was on "0%" but the laptop was able to run without AC power. I was able to get the laptop to detect the true charge of the battery(26%) in windows for a moment but it wouldn't charge or update the percentage when the battery drained. I attempted a few more EC resets and battery reconnections and now the battery shows at 0% in bios and 100% in windows. Additionally the machine is extremely laggy when plugged into AC. When on ac power in the...
