    mouse sticking periodically

i was suffering from the mouse sticking periodically, i thought it might be some bad prog maxing out the cpu or some hard disk problem. anyway today i replaced the mouse and the problem was suprisingly solved.

guess my original intellimouse explorer has had it.

troubleshooting occasionally leads to suprising conclusions.

I have an intellimouse explorer version 1.0 on my server array, bought back in 1999 or so, still working today... However, my intellimouse expoiter 4.0, which is barely 8 months old, the left button works intermittantly.... If I bang it on the desk, it starts working ok, for a while.... I need to get a new one...

I think mine is a 4.0(optical,scroll wheel&wired) and it fails to fire once in awhile on the lt.click. Has a rough feel to it. It's an easy RAM to MS, from what I've read. A new mouse is inorder here and RMA of this one for a spare.

          I killed my plaing counterstrike...

Must have been too many "BOOM Headshots"

Actually I noticed the micro switch inside is what was dead... same thing, bang it on the desktop and it would work for a while.

The micro switches in buttons are often crap - just buy new and replace if you want to save your mouse.
