    they need to be pushed quite strongly to be damaged. if the board is still working fine then dont worry

      thank you willawake for the fast reply !
      i haved tested yet my x800xt burn down some week ago so i cannot know if the motherboard work realy for the moment , but i will order an X1800xt in some day (beside i dont know wich x1800xt 256 brand should i take HIS or Connect3d) i will be able to say about it .

      funny the list of bad caps :

      * Canicon (found on PNY video cards (at least the GeForce4 based models), among other components))
      * Chhsi
      * Choyo
      * CTC
      * Fuhjyyu (found in Antec and FSP (and so many others licensed from FSP, for example Zalman), Tagan and so many other power supplies to this day)
      * Gloria
      * GSC
      * (G) Luxon (also G-Luxon) (Found in some older ECS motherboards)
      * Hermei
      * I.Q.
      * JDEC
      * JPCON
      * Jun Fu (found in some Deer power supplies)
      * OST (found on some PCCHIPS, ECS, ASUS, and EPoX motherboards to this day)
      * Lelon
      * Licon
      * Taicon (found on ASRock motherboards and BFG video cards, part owned by Nichicon or so their website claims)
      * Jen Pan TUR/TUL (known as "PCE-TUR" or "PCE-TUL", owned by CEC) (found in Enermax power supplies and in Seasonic power supplies (300W, prod. 2002)). Mostly good, but they had a series of the TUR wich was also bad.
      * FUH YIN (found on the memory board of a hp workstation x4000)
      * Nichicon Bad cap's found on an ASUS p4p800-se motherboard (12-4-2006)

      since i know thats i can fix CAPS i realy enjoy to study about it !!
      but not try it yet !!!

        well i am lost a little

        maybe the RAm damaged or the HDD ,well i dont realy understand the problem

          need some more information
          was the motherboard working ok before you install the heatsink? or is it a new board for you?
          are you using the same drivers and hardware as before?
          recommended to take out all cards and all usb devices, except video card and then boot and see if ok. if ok then shutdown add one card and boot, keep adding devices one by one to see if you can figure out if there is a driver problem.

            allright the story :

            i buy this motherboard in japan (for last summer holiday) i plug it and it worked fine no problem !

            i have some new info, i check the under of my motherboard just now , i find thats the capacitor moved ...well one of the little legs of the capacitor dosnt have anymore solder ....moving in and out in the hole .....so i guess i find where the problem are from at last , i am gonna fix it like it should and will post the result !!!!

            thank you for your time

              Re: Gigabyte GA-81945p question (^v^)/

              i would recommend to replace the capacitor then, in case it sustain damage inside. you can see this by the capacitor lead(s) is no longer thin all the way into the cap but some of the much thicker inside part of the terminal is pulled out

              maybe you will be lucky and lead port is not damaged. anyway remove the cap, clean the holes and solder a new cap in. tell us the results.

                Sorry for the late reply !

                well i solder the rubycon ,i didnt change it yet , well the good new is thats th serial ATA was working , then i install window xp without any problem , all work great right now , i runned a memory test and the computeur crash again , i find out one more thing but it look like is the end of the problem ....i run DDR2 2x512 2x256 533 ...one of the 256 are dead , each time i plug it into the pc the pc crash..on any slot ....since i take it out no problem any more .

                i just want to say : thank you for this website ,honestly thank you i study a lot about CAPS and is very interresting ,beside very usefull

                the last thing i have to find is what companie make the best x1800xt with good CAPS ,at list i didnt eard any thing about bad CAPS on a ATI ......

                merci beaucoup willawake
