Digi-Key Corporation announced today that it has signed a worldwide distribution agreement with Power Integrations, the leading supplier of high-voltage analog integrated circuits (ICs) used in power conversion. Digi-Key, one of the fastest growing distributors of electronic components in the world, currently ships product to more than 140 countries.
Why should anyone here care? PI's chips are used by many P/S mfrs, Delta for certain, for the +5V Stby regulator. Their IC looks like a TO-220 MOSFET or transistor, but it integrates the MOSFET with the controller. Now Digi-Key carries PI's products.

Power Supplies should be boring: No loud noises, no bright flashes, and no bad smells.
