    Source for screw kits?

I have a laptop that I just finished repairing (after five months..), and now I'm having issues locating a screw kit for it. Previous owner / friend had taken it apart and lost a great number of them.

Asus wasn't much help- They told me they don't have any contact with their repair centers, and do not sell the screw kit / have a part number for it. A schematic would also help, but I was simply told 'good luck.'

Anyone know of a place that does all of the above? I've come up with nothing so far, except people telling me to check ebay, which doesn't really help. =P

    This is not that complicated...

A preliminary eBay search turns this up:
    http://cgi.ebay.com/ASUS-Laptop-K50I...item2a0dadd5a9

True you have a G50, but the K50 chassis is probably similar enough that most of the screws will be compatible.

      It's not similar enough, unfortunately.

I /did/ look around ebay as stated in the first post, and I didn't find anything close enough. For the specific unit you posted about it's (at least) the different GPU, bottom hatches, etc. That's at least 8 screws right there. There's two different GPU heatsinks for the g50v depending on the options you picked during purchase, so there may be a difference even within that general model number. Hence the search for a schematic of some sort as well. =P

      Thanks though.

Asus X532FL 3.2V at source and gate
        by Lvsitano
I am having some trouble with troubleshooting a Asus X532FL rev 2.0 motherboard, which does not power on. So at the first MOSFET, I am getting 19V at the drain, and then 3.2V on both gate and source (compared with ground). Of course, the 2nd MOSFET's source will have 3.2v at source.

        First MOSFET is a QM3056M6 and 2nd MOSFET is a QM0930M3

I already checked first MOSFET and source and gate are not shorted (drain with source not shorted either). Also I have 1.7V at the LDO rail (measured at the keyboard connector, as the power button is on the keyboard).

        First...

Recapping Sony ICF-SW55 - verifying cap values
        by proxneo
        Dear reader

I am performing a repair on a Sony ICF-SW55, which includes recapping (some) of the SMD capacitors on the mainboard. I am looking for verification of their values. At the moment, I'm 95% sure I've got the right values, but it is hard to find some official, credible or multiple independant sources on this.

At the moment, I have selected replacements based on the following list of values:

        3 x 470uF 10VDC
        3 x 4.7uF 35VDC
        4 x 47uF 50VDC
        8 x 22uF 6.3 VDC
        1 x 220uF 6.3VDC
        5 x 100uF 6.3VDC

        Which...

Greetings to all, I hope you are well.

I consult you because I have a problem with this power source.

The TV when it is connected to the electrical power turns on the blue light but does not give an image. the source is heard a hum.

When I disconnect the power from the TV plates and power it up by itself, the hum goes away.

I have the STB voltages of 5vdc. The microcontroller is powered with said voltage and the main board LED lights up.

but not the 12v or 17v ones, nor the 300vdc high voltage voltages, nor the VS or VA....

Mounting and Handling Guidelines for TO220 TO220F TO247 Cases / Packages

The TO220, TO220F and TO247 are the popular packages for power devices because of their versatility and ability to dissipate moderate amounts of heat. This application note describes the basic guidelines for handling power MOSFETs in TO220, TO220 and TO247 packages shown in Figure 1. Please note that only mechanical and soldering guidelines are covered here. Additional precautions are required for isolating high voltage rated devices to meet safety regulations.

Samsung ProBook NP767XCM-K1CA battery connector replacment source?
        by LarrySabo
Tonight I broke the battery connector on the motherboard of this laptop and need to source a replacement. See pictures. The marking seems to read B6u. The sticker on the motherboard reads TCZRFN6X00230 P03AJD BA92-20746B 06 29. If someone could suggest a proper part number and source, I would be very grateful....
