how to achieve admin rights on win10 tablet?

I got HP Pro Tablet 10 EE G1 and cant get administrator access to it. It has win10 instaled on it, and I can login like regular user without password... not allowing to do anything, not even to change time.
So I try find on net howto login like administrator, but cant follow sugested methods, because do not appears what say to be. I cant find place (box) to enter "administrator" with blank passwd, instead it is served to me to choose between "user" account or "Admin" account icon... nothing else.
I cant start safe mode when booting up windows... I have keyboard with it, try hold F8... nothing.

How to manage to return administrator rights?

Type ‘cmd’ and press [Ctrl] + [Shift] + [Enter]. --- ask for Admin passwd...
Type ‘net user administrator /active:yes’. --- access is denied.

Open the context menu with [Windows] + [X].
Click on ‘Windows PowerShell (Administrator)’. --- ask for Admin passwd...

Type ‘lusrmgr.msc’.
Uncheck ‘Account is disabled’ and click ‘OK’ or ‘Apply’. --- Access is denied.
There I see that Administrator account is disabled, checked box... so for anything asking me to put Admin password...

To enable Windows 10 Administrator accounts in Windows 10 without administrator privileges, you need to contact administrators... WTF :


Thanks, but nothing work for me. It has to be some bypass routine, because ever Admin can die...

if it cant boot from usb it's gonna get interesting!

What happens when you click on the Admin icon ?
What version of Windows 10 ? Windows key + R and type winver.
I'm guessing you have to press shift whilst shutting it down, otherwise it doesn't shut down properly and you can't enter the BIOS or F8.

After click on Admin icom, ask me only a Admin password
Administrator account is disabled, and cant anything change without Admin passwd.
Indeed, when pres shift while restart, I can manipulate to chose (dont touch F8) to next boot is in safe mode, but, anyway, I dont know how to get anything from there. It appear same to me. It boots in safe mode in user account, and administrator account is disabled also...
I have access to bios, but is it can solve anything?

Wipe and install again? I dont know, never do this... the tablet now working but dont have admin rights. I have not any document, licence, id, or stick, or cd, or link in connection of that tablet... so I dont know where shuld be if go that way, what numbers, drivers, options... must find and save and so on...


I dont knw what DaRT is...? Anyway, I cant connect nothing to micro usb, dont have adapter nor firmware.
I dont want to go that way... smash mosquito with hammer...


But, I am interesting to find way, not destructive and elegant to return admin rights or password. I dont say before, but I have identical device with Admin password write to backplate... but I dont know if this help in any way. So, it is a technical question.

When I worked in a school we used Admin not Administrator.
You have tried the Admin password on the other tablet ?

DaRT is a cd/dvd or usb-stick image from microsoft that can create a fresh admin account and restore corrupted system files.

Thank you, I think I'll go with hard reset if it is straight forward like link say.
I remember days where the owners own his device and take control over it.
The top questions about any operations has been "are you sure?"
Nowadays is everything but else...

Yeah, ofcorse the Admin passwd not the same, it is the biggest security risc on planet, not landfill river

just one question before start...
I watch that two videos, and both stops with very suspicious to me "...and now you starts to activate your device..."
I want to see fully process till desktop shows on screen, or at least to someone confirm that process is without some obsructions, like asking for licence code for windows, keys or whatever...

I do some hard reset on android4, and it go right of the box, no problem...

Boot to Win10 install media

On install screen hit Shift+F10 to get to command prompt

switch to C drive

copy c:\windows\system32\Utilman.exe c:\windows\system32\Utilman.bak
copy c:\windows\system32\cmd.exe c:\windows\system32\Utilman.exe

Reboot tablet, at login screen click the Ease of Access button, it will launch a command prompt, net user Administrator *, Enter, Enter and that should remove the Admin account password


And I agree with you, the whole idea of "admin" accounts is idiotic. It's you computer, you don't meed Microsoft protecting it from you.

And what user then run cmd, "system", "disabled Administrator"...?

I try to find a some way without extenal equpment... why is safe mode bring to user account, can I somehow ommit this user account so to shift to admin?

Where win10 store password file anyway?

Yes, the windows is activated with "digital licence", I try to find some file to preserve it, but it seems that this licence is stored on microsoft online server... I use nirsoft product key scaner and find a bunch of keys, but for any activation microsoft forces you to get in real contact with it through internet or phone, so they can assign to you and store future private data on they spy... erm... bussines database...

or try to remove the safeboot keys so you can install win7 or Linux
