    85°C caps allow higher current.
    look for those.

if you can't find any ask manufacturer for advice.
Because in some cases some 105°C caps can endure higher current but must be treated as a 85°C one in that case.

        I've found something cheaper:

        https://www.mouser.de/ProductDetail/...mLf3dAMEETU%3d
        https://www.mouser.de/ProductDetail/...FpJyP7yEJtA%3d

The others I've found don't seem to be available.

CapXon's are fucking overrated. Just go with a quality Japanese brand and don't think of it no more.

I had same problem when looking for some smaller Su'scon caps for an audio amp. Couldn't find a single reputable Japanese manufacturer that had a cap that met the specs of those Su'scons. So in the end, I just said, "f- this" and got some Rubycon YK and Nichicon VZ general purpose caps that were more or less close enough in specs to the Su'scons. After all, the Su'scons were GP caps too, so there's no way it could have mattered. And it didn't. The repair worked without a hitch and been working fine for a long time now.

KingWin ABT-650MM 650 Watt ATX PSU [PCB: SW8835REV:A]
              by momaka
For today's thread, I have a KingWin ABT-650MM ATX PSU. Official web page with the PSU specs is still up and can be found here:
              http://www.rmac.kingwin.com/products.../abt_650MM.asp

I just can't help it when I see a broken / for parts PSU on eBay that's listed for cheap and looks at least somewhat interesting. Well, OK, I won't lie – on the outside, this PSU looks anything but interesting. It's a plain gray box with colorful “spaghetti cables”.

What mostly drew me into buying it is its 2x PCI-E power connectors...

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?
              by Tynan Dill
I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

              Assuming...

Macbook Air M2 A2681 Kernel panics after screen replacement
              by reformatt
Just had a customer bring in a M2 MBA A2681 that had had a screen replacement in April at another repairer. Since then, she has been getting intermittent kernel panics. It's an aftermarket screen, and of course it fails in diagnostics as the calibration hasn't been done. The error in the panic log is "No device added after powering on the rails".

It seems the original repairer has swapped the board and the screen to other MAC's, and said that it isn't a screen issue. From what I understand, by doing a quick search on Google, this is in fact a screen issue. The panic relates...

Unknown transformer : how to find a good replacement part ?
              by the_rem
              Hello guys,

I would like a quite old but still good 800 W ATX PSU to be repaired. The problem was an extremely heavy coil whine coming from the small secondary transfomer on the PCB.

I desoldered it hoping the references on the upper side would allow me to find a adequate replacement part. Sadly the written references drove me nowhere but to the manufacturer (I-MAG). I sent them a message like a bottle in the see asking them to send me a datasheet of the transformer. And... They responded ! I received a kind of datasheet (see attachment) but my competencies do not allow...

HannStar Hanns-G HC194d LCD monitor repair
              by momaka
Normally, I never post repairs this quick after I do them, because… I am usually very slow. But today, I’m making an exception here. Why? No idea. Perhaps only because the repair details are still “fresh” in my head… which is ironic, given this is a 16 year old monitor that hardly anyone will care about today. It is new to me, though. I picked it up last November from someone on my local Craigslist. It wasn’t very close to where I live, but was close to a family friend that I had to go visit anyways. So after watching the posting on Craigslist for a few weeks and seeing it getting...
