Can anyone identify the values for this little cap? The only markings are 2VK Korea -40C +80C. I get the operating temps. I'm assuming it is 2 volts 1000 something. But what? F, uF, pF?

Power Supplies should be boring: No loud noises, no bright flashes, and no bad smells.

by galkinvvHere is a dump of micron ICs markings for a backup purpose. By now Micron still have online part finder on the site, but I'm not sure that all deprecated ICs are kept forever. So here is a snapshot for everybody as a CSV table...01-14-2024, 10:41 AM

by Justin_D33Hello all. This is my Delta DPS-250AB PSU. It does not work anymore, and I'm assuming the cause is dried-out secondary capacitors. Specifically, those dreaded CapXons. I have some recap stock I salvaged from a dead ECS 945GCT-M3:
1, United Chemicon KZG 560 µF 6.3V, there's one of these
2, Sanyo WG 2200 µF 10V, there's 3 of these that came from the VRM area
3, more Sanyo WGs, these came from the PCIe area. There's 3 in total, they are 6.3V ones. I forgot the exact capacitance, and I don't want to dig them out right now.1 Photo-

by jhjoveI recently got a hold of a H/K AVR 7000, currently doing a close inspection of components. It uses an array of cap brands: Yec, ELNA and Korea Chemi-Con. There's evident heat effects; metal discoloration, cold/broken solder joints....and some swollen caps:
For certain I'm replacing these units, but interesting the ESR readings are excellent and the capacitance is at spec value.
Never seen such stressed caps that still measure as OK....-
