Be My Hero! Impossible to find Caps??

    Hey guys...

I posted this once LONG ago but never could find them. I am looking for a 6.3V 1500uF ESR high quality capacitor but cannot find them anywhere!! I am so tired, I've searched and read for HOURS at all the major websites and no luck. Oh easy to find you say?? Well here is the catch....They can only be 8MM OD. ALL the ones I've found are 10MM and at this size they bump into each other and cannot be soldered on correctly. The ones I need have to be 8MM X 20 MM. Well...I am not sure how much physical size plays a part of it...but as long as there were 8MM od I would not care how tall/short they were?? Any ideas...Please help and I'll donate a couple dvds to you or something. Thanks

I called Digikey and Mouser and talked to actual people.

    :o

I know.....I was suprised too. The ladies I talked to were very helpful and we got things worked out. You might want to give them a call instead of going blind over pages and pages of stuff.

Its been a while, but the caps for the VP6 are 8mm OD as well. Height doesn't matter except for the ones next to the damn AGP slot. If you order the right height, it has a larger OD. I forget the actual dimensions, but I know what you're talking about and I feel your pain.

Give them a call and see if they can help that way.

Wish I had better info. I'm sure TC will pop in his 2 cents (thats about all its worth anyway ) . He was trying to track down a supplier for the VP6 caps. Not sure what he found out.

Speaking of which......he's supposed to be finding the RL version of the weather girl.
