Need assistance purchasing replacement caps

Hey guys,

I've recently purchased a graphics card which does not work. I've received a refund for it and I get to keep it. I've opened it up to find out that it seems the caps have leaked. I'm not too sure though because I thought solid caps did not leak but these look like they have rings of stuff around them on the PCB.

I have uploaded some pics in an imgur album. The pics are pretty bad. My camera is messed up and will not focus properly on the things in the middle of the image.

The 2 types of caps I think I need to replace are marked as follows:

ULR
16V
330
CV

and

ULR
2.5V
820
CO

I'm not sure either if this is the cause of the issue and if replacing the caps that appear to have leaked will fix it.

When plugged into a computer, the fans will spin and the computer will boot normally but the card is just never detected. I've tried it on a computer that had onboard graphics and it did boot Windows. The device manager wouldn't show anything and installing the drivers was a no go.

Any input is welcome. I would really appreciate a link to some capacitors that match the ones I need. I find it a bit overwhelming to shop on digikey with my limited knowledge on capacitors.

I'd also like to know what you guys think my odds are of bringing this thing back to life if I successfully change these caps.

those caps are polymer and very likely not bad. There's most likely something else wrong.

No idea what could've caused that white residue around some of these caps?

On the 3rd picture you can see it kinda behaved like a liquid, spreading down and out. Because of the weight of the card, it sags down in that direction.

Samxon ULR is a reliable series.

The problem is that you bought a Radeon, and Radeons have tremendously high failure rates, much more so than GeForce.

I see tons of defective Radeons on the market all the time, many of them coming from bitcoin miners. I think you have a better chance with reflow than with re-cap.

Yeah I've heard a lot about defective radeons in the past few days, I would not be surprised if this one was used in a mining rig either. This is also a 'press sample' version of the card. People are saying these ran faster than the ones you can buy on the market. AMD has an explanation for it, I don't remember what it was.

Before I removed the cooler, reflowing it is what I had in mind but after seeing the white residue around some of the caps I thought I'd look into it some more.

I've actually purchased a brand new one instead of a second hand one this time around. I hope I have no problem with this one. It would be nice to end up with 2 of them though.
