    Supercapacitors...

Hello companions, I have a question, and it is that it wanted to practise a bit with these condensers of 4 Farads, and it wanted that you were helping me to do projects with these condensers that are very interesting. Teneis some idea? Thank you very much

    Re: Supercapacitors...

Those supercapacitors are usually only useful for stuff that uses very little power, like a bios battery replacement, or a ds1307 based clock or something like that.

These coin cell type have a somewhat high ESR/internal resistance, which makes them not so great choice for some applications.

      Supercapacitors/EDLCs...why are they failing?
      by eccerr0r
After reading https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=72162 it seems that supercapacitors simply do not last that long...

... or is it that it's being design-abused? Did Fluke mess up on this design?

Supercapacitors/EDLCs used as memory storage maintainers are presumptively used so that the cost/annoyance of swapping batteries are done away with. As a capacitor it should have long charge/discharge endurance, though supercapacitors not as much as a regular capacitor, but does it have significantly larger cycle counts compared to a, say, LiFePO4 battery?

Asus CUV4X rev 1.03 Schematic Wanted
      by AusDuron1000
      Hi All,
I'm chasing a circuit schematic for an Asus CUV4x Motherboard.

I purchased the board in 'unknown' condition and it doesn't exhibit any signs of life when testing with known good parts.

The board does not power on - No LED illuminated when ATX power connected. When bridging the PS_ON to Ground at the ATX connector the board will power up however seems to fail early chipset initialization at post code C0

Any help greatly appreciated as I'd love to get this cool 'retro' board back to life to live another 25 years!

      Thanks

My wife is asking me about getting one because our electric bill was that it has ever been even more than last year at this time nothing has really changed since last year last month unless the electric company has done some fuel adjustment charges I have not done any investigation into yet but I might have to but there was a time back a few years ago that I use to set the temperature warm during the day when we were not home but when we got wooden floors in our house and you have to keep the humidity down to keep it from warping I just set to a temperature to 75*F to keep the humidity down but...

Google Pixel 5 - Proximity Sensor Issues - Reflow/Replacement procedure tipps wanted
      by groomit
      Hi,
I just replaced the battery on a Google Pixel 5.
After that the proximity sensor isn't functioning properly any more. It is constantly activated. So when playing a voice message on Whatsapp, the Screen instantly turns off.
Checking with a sensor app I can verify weird behavior of the sensor. It is triggered when nothing is near and sometimes works correctly when squeezing the phone next to the sensor hole.
The rubber seal is on again (as mentioned in various suggestions in other forums).

This smells like a cold or broken solder joint. So I'd like to reflow...
