    Broken Laptop SMD capacitor

I try to replace a broken smd capacitor from an Acer Aspire 5920 motherboard.

After searching I figured it is a tantalum smd capacitor. Here is an image:

( Letters were not very clear so I used Paint )

Could you please help me identify it? I suppose 470 means 470uF , but what 70Dt stands for?

    Thanks in advance,
    Jadas.

Yes it is 470uF. I think 70Dt is simply a manufacturing date. Where is it located? It could be either 6.3v, 16v of 25v depending on the circuit - use a lower voltage cap and it will blow up, while a higher voltage one may not physically fit.

      "D" is 20V rated.

        Thanks for both answers.

tom66 : Did you identify the model ? Could you tell me where did you find that info, in case something breaks again?

          Re: Broken Laptop SMD capacitor

After some more searching I found out that capacitors are marked with capacitance in pF,
but if that was the case here we would have 47*10^0 pF which I dont think it is manufactured. So it can only be 470uF ?
Also the only thing that could relate with Voltage would be the letter D.
          So my only choice would be a 470uF , 20V capacitor ?

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Aorus 17G YD laptop, broken display, could not switch to external monitor
            by ArchangelGabriel
Hello guys! I need a little help, I have one laptop for repair, it is an Aorus 17G YD, gaming laptop. Broken display, some cable ripped form daughter board connector, case broken, battery discharged and probably locked, etc. After I did the most tedious job I ever did on soldering back the broken cables (shielded cable) , I measured resistance on CPU and GPU core, 3 and 5 v ps and any coils I find on the board, everything seems to be fine. After I plugged the charger I don't get the power led light on from the charger connection maybe because the battery is locked , but on power button I have

MSI GF63 THIN 11UCX (MS-16R6) LAPTOP WON'T TURN ON AFTER RESTARTING
            by RdeveLabs
            To all the members here...

Let me tell you a little bit about what happened to my laptop (MSI GF63 THIN 11UCX model: MS-16R6) that “maybe” you know how to solve this problem.

So before this problem happened, my laptop was running smoothly. When I wanted to restart my laptop, it looked fine at first. But after I waited for this restart process to take a long time, until finally I panicked (because the restart process did not finish plus the laptop screen only showed a black screen), I immediately pressed and held the power button to force the laptop to turn off. But...
