    Highly Integrated Narrow VDC Battery Charger for Notebook Computers

    The ISL6257HRZ ISL6257HRZ-T is a highly integrated battery charger controller
    for Li-Ion/Li-Ion polymer batteries. ISL6257 is designed for
    Narrow VDC applications where the system power source is
    either the battery pack or the regulated output of the charger.
    This makes the max voltage to the system equal to the max
    battery voltage instead of the max adapter voltage. Operating
    at lower system voltage can improve overall efficiency. High
    efficiency is achieved in the charger with a synchronous buck
    topology. The low-side MOSFET emulates a diode at light
    loads to improve the light load efficiency and prevent system
    bus boosting.

    The constant output voltage can be selected for 2, 3 and 4
    series Li-Ion cells with ±0.5% accuracy over temperature. It
    can also be programmed between 4.2V + 5% per cell and
    4.2V - 5% per cell to optimize battery capacity. When
    supplying the load and battery charger simultaneously, the
    input current limit for the AC adapter is programmable to
    within ±3% accuracy to avoid overloading the AC adapter and
    to allow the system to make efficient use of available adapter
    power for charging. It also has a wide range of programmable
    charging current. The ISL6257 automatically transitions from
    regulating current mode to regulating voltage mode.

    I have a battery operated tab welder and the battery does not have enough current for the battery tab welder because after about 30 welded it does not have the same current output it voltage has gone down by at least 0.500 volts or maybe a more than that

    I can fit 21700 battery cells in the enclosure it is very tight fit for four of them that are 35 amp high current capacity 35X4=140 high current output this should work a lot better than what is installed right now

    My question pertains to understanding the control circuity inside a Dell PT434 type battery used in Dell E6400, E6410 and other Dell notebooks?

    Does anyone have a circuit diagram for the inside of a Dell PT434 battery and/or a description of how the control lines work to control this battery?

    My reason for asking is I have a battery which I cannot get to charge beyond 1% in a Dell E6410 or E6400.
    The LED bar graph charge indicator on the battery shows one LED lighted when the info button is pressed.

    The Bauer power tool battery charger just has to many issues with the charger over heating because I several HERCULES Hercules battery chargers that are 3 amp charge and because they have gone on quite a few times over the years before they came out with the fan cooling battery charger I going to modify one so I can charge Bauer battery packs faster than the crape battery charger that they have
