Corsair RM 750 blown schottky diode near ES1DF
    by iyas132
Hi there, i am currently diagnosing my corsair rm750 that wont turn on, after a power trip.

Before the power trip, previously i need to push power button on my pc case quite a bit in order to turn the pc (and power supply on), however after the power trip now i cannot turn the pc on at all and i opened the power supply, and found out some of the component(s) are blown. (picture attached)

My current diagnostic is that the (schottky) diode marked "SF" in the 5Vsb circuit are blown and possibly the ES1DF diode too.

Can anyone help me identify the component...

iMac screen problem - PSU schottky's failing?
    by Crystaleyes
    Hi all,

have another iMac with flickering then black screen issue.

    It is a 21.5" 2010 A1311 model.

When switched on, the screen flickers before going black. With a torch you can see the image is there, as are all four diagnostic LED's.

Measuring the PSU output only gives around 10.5v with the cable harness connected, although it measures 12.06v unconnected. This leads me to suspect something the power supply.

I saw that some people had found a shorted mosfet on the output however these seem fine, when tested for...

    A Dead/DOA Gigabyte GP-P450b 450W ATX PSU
    by momaka
More eBay specials: this time a Gigabyte GP-P450b 450W ATX PSU for $8 with free S&H. Listed “For part/not working”, as usual. Showed up in a beat up EVGA box without any padding… but that's understandable given the total price. PSU made it out fine without damage. It's a non-modular (yay!), pretty modern-day looking PSU with a black paint and all black cables (meh, not my favorite, but figure it's good to keep a few of these in case I do need one for a more modern PC build, just so my old gray boxes don't look too odd in there.)

And a shot of the label:...

and as soon as I finish the settings it works normally when I close it again the same
I have done a factory reset without success

Belkin F5D4076-S v2 Powerline Adapter. Bad Cap and SCHOTTKY RECTIFIER
    by Lien1454
    Hi,

Firstly I'm quite the amature at fault finding.

I have a pair of Belkin F5D4076-S v2 powerline adapters. One is working the other is dead.

On opening the dead one. I spotted a bulging cap which is a 6.3v 2200uF.
Measuring it with a MM reads 1900 uF.

There is also next to it a SM SCHOTTKY 399F SM340C. On testing this for continuity there is none. However on testing the other powerline there is continuity. So looks like I need to replace that also.

I cannot find any Schematics for the powerline. I've been able...
