ATTEN 8586 Not heating the Iron

hey guys, got this station for about two years,
yesterday it stopped heating the soldering iron, the hot air works.

and i can see this on the screen, any ideas?

i would remove the soldering iron and do a resistance tests across the terminals on the iron, more than certain the element has gone O/C,then if that fails do a voltage measurement from the out put of the station to verify voltage and troubleshoot from there.

i think so too, but before i order a new heating core, or the whole iron.

between which pins sholud i test resistance,
and what should i expect.

check the red and blue coming out of the white ceramic core,id expect to see fairly low resistance of a few ohms

out of the core,
goes 4 wires:
red and transparent on one side,
and on the other, yellow and transperent.

between the red and yellow, i get 20.7Mohm

does it mean its dead?

should i order only the core or the whole iron
(14.83$ for the element, 18$ for the whole iron?)

hey ravi, do you have the same problem as mine?

i ordered a new soldering iron for the station
i will update as soon as i get it.

"Display "S-E" means there is something wrong with the sensor of the working channel.
so the device stops outputting signal."

i already ordered a new soldering iron for the station, i hope it's not for nothing , :-(

any idea what it means?
