Well my sister was about to throw away her Samsung LN52A850S1FXZA but I decided to look at it to see if I can get it working. I've done cap fixes on my own samsung before and thought meh let me give it a go. (Apologies in advance as I don't have pics of the issue but will get them up tonight)
First the TV had NO video but I was getting audio so I went ahead and replaced the T-Con board. I am able to get an image now however I have horizontal scan lines across the screen, not so much the left side, but the right side.they are definitley apparent leaving a double ghosting image on the screen. I am leaning toward it being a bad LCD screen but is there anything else to look for? Luckily I can return the T-con board so I won't loose much money except for shipping. I rather see if I can get this TV back up and running especially since she already bought a new TV and I can keep this older one now. Let me know and again some images to come later this evening. Thanks!
