    Capacitance of a Capacitor

    Dear all,

    which formula is correct for the calculation of the capacitance?

    1). C = k*e0*A/d or 2). C = e0*er*A/d ???

    e= epsilon
    A=area of the plates
    d=distance between the plates
    k=dielectric constant

    and if i want to calculate the capacitance in Farads then in what units the Area and Distance should be:

    Area in m2 or cm2 ???
    Distance in m or cm????

    Thanks for the help.

    Never seen the equation before but area should be m2 and distance in m, given they are SI Units. I may be wrong.
