Cisco/Linksys SWR2024 with major bad caps

I've just pulled out a Cisco/Linksys SRW2024 Gigabit Switch that died with smoke signals.https://www.badcaps.net/forum/images/smilies/pimp.gif

The PSU was the "smoker", and charred the cap, glue and adjacent coil.

More amazing were the 11 other bulging cap's on the board's 12v input and several SMPS circuits supplying the lower voltages.

    Nichicon, Stone and KZE ?

    stone...believe me I know...

how I know? I acually got the exact same model from goodwill for $20. freezed after a few minutes, sometimes hours of being on (depending on how warm it was)

opened it up, every medium sized stone was bulged. got some nichicons from here, took plenty of time replacing all damn 22 of them, but it ran in a repair shop environment for two years straight, no longer work there (doesn't exist anymore), still have it, still works, don't have much use for a scratched up to hell 48-port switch in my home lan :P

I will later. Hmm now that I think about it, I got rubycons
it was actually an early cap, and although it went well....I misjudged on the cap size when I ordered. this lead to some...tight...fitting...
