I'm working on another one of these "wonderful" Funai flatpanels, circa 2007. This one is very similar to the Magnavoxes that we have in service here, but it does not power up properly. The green light blinks, (like it is supposed to while booting) but it never actually powers up. After trying for a while, the green light starts to blink rapidly before the set gives up and goes back to standby mode. The signature "hiss" noise of the transformers is never heard and there are no backlights either (not even a flicker, as far as I can tell).
On a properly functioning model, the green light would normally continue to blink slowly until after the splash screen has appeared, at which point it would stay on solid.
Visual inspection of the insides yields nothing too terribly interesting, but there are no voltages written on the front of the boards for any of the connectors. There was a long thread on a similar (or possibly identical) issue posted in the past, for which the solution was the inverter board, but I'd just like to double check to see if there's a good way to confirm this.
Does anybody remember what most commonly causes these things to have this issue?
