magnet orientation on cdrom laser focusing lens

    Hello,

I have a Sony digital camera that has a lens assembly similar to that found in a cdrom, and I am unable to determine which way to put the magnets back inside. Each magnet has a red stripe in the corner, I just am at a loss as to how to put them back.

If anyone has a cdrom that is toast, or if anyone knows, are the magnets that are in proximity to the coil the same pole? Or is one facing north and the other south?

This has been my post on other forums:

Gentlemen, I had the lens assembly properly assembled. There was a rotary optical pulse generator inside the transmission that I had missed. Once I put it on the shaft it worked fine. It seemed as if it were a sensor issue. Now I have another problem.
There is a voice coil motor that operates a focusing lens similar to that of a CDrom.

I took it apart for cleaning and did not observe the polarity of the magnets in it.

The magnets each have a red stripe on one corner.

Can anyone help me with this??

    Please see the pictures below:

The back of the assembly with two sensors of some kind:

Here is the assembly without the copper cover, showing the metal backing plates for the magnets:

Here is a picture of the red stripe. I apologize for the quality, this is the reason I need the DSC-H1!

    Problem

This is an LG edge LED lit LCD Display. The LEDs are on the bottom edge of the display. There are 2 bars (left and right) Each bar has many LEDs and a 6 pin connector. Each pin drive several LEDs thus is the highest current flow / heat junction. The weak lead free solder gradually fails with thermal expansion/contraction cycling and increases resistance. PSU will compensate up to a point, then when the current is too high, PSU just shut down the backlight causing a dark display. I have even seen one which the connector just fell off as solder points became completely detached....

Good day and a belated happy New Year folks !
Wow....feels like forever since I've had a chat with all the wonderful folks we got here - guess you could say I grew up and can look after myself now
In all seriousness, I'm in need of some assistance choosing a microscope. I decided it's time I finally got one and I might as well put some of the money I earned caroling this year to good use

The reason I'm turning to our community for advice is because I'd like to hear some thoughts from people who actually own a microscope already or at least worked with them hands-on,...

LED strip lens caps falling off
    by Keshenatech1
Has anyone else besides me ever had a problem with the lens caps falling off of the LED strips in a TV? I have an LG 50LB6000 that I repaired about mid summer. about 1/2 of the LED lens caps had fallen off causing white spots on the screen. So I glued them back on. I just had it come back for the same problem, but only worse. Most of them had fallen off, including the ones I had glued back on a few months ago. And the remaining ones still attached could be pulled off very easily. I had scraped the old glue off of the LED strips and back of the lens caps, and also cleaned both surfaces with alcohol....

    Backlight Polkadarks

Soooo, I found someone giving away their 70" Vizio TV because it wouldn't turn on. Hoping it would be just some bad caps, I snapped it up. No dice. No bulging caps. TV would start consuming about 7W immediately after plugging it in, but no response from the remote or power button. Thermal showed the main chip on the mobo getting warm and nothing else. Power supply appeared to deliver stable 12V to the mainboard.

I ordered a replacement mobo(actually both mobo and PSU just to be sure) and popped it in. Picture! Sound! Endorphins! Then I noticed three long dark strips. Hmmm, had...
