Laptop is a Lenovo Thinkpad L460 Type 20FV.
Mainboard is BL460 NM-A651 Rev 1.0

The laptop takes a long time to POST, then shows the Lenovo screen and shuts down promptly. Cannot select startup device menu or BIOS.

Think it might be a corrupted BIOS maybe. Anyone had this problem before?

Hi, i have the same problem, power on but black screen.
The BIOS was supposedly updated by the service, but the issue persisted. Now, I am going to try updating it myself.
Does anyone have functional BIOS files available?
