Just a thread to post clean VSS2 files/dumps in.A clean VSS2 file can, in some cases, fix
the infamous [COLOR=#c0392b][B]**[/B][/COLOR]"[B]Endpoint Security[/B]" error message.
Be aware that if you use a clean VSS2 you may need to fill in missing DMI info using HP BCU !

I`ve included some clean files/dumps,offsets and a few scripts to autopatch a few models.
The offsets and file sizes are part of the naming convention i`ve used for the extracted

Hello. After reprogramming ECROM (removing bios password), a message started appearing - "there is a problem with hp endpoint security controller on the unit".

Hi all

We have in a HP ProBook 445 G8 laptop with AMD Ryzen 7 CPU. When power is connected the power LED light blinks 5 times then stops. Normally HP laptops will blink this LED 10 times as it does a self test when the AC adaptor is inserted. So there must be some sort of short somewhere.

The battery doesn't charge, and is erratic on the MM voltage. Bench PSU LED pulsates when the battery is connected also. So the fault must be on the charging circuit?

I have gone around the board with a MM and cant find anything

Windows shows the battery fine,...

Suggestion is to download a datasheet for the charger IC. Then review what you do have on the board and respectively to determine what is missing for the charger area.

Right! No tool is needed to edit the MPM data, after unlocking the MPM option will be active until the moment of editing....

For me this is the best option to unlock your model. Program only the SPI chip.
With the BIOS unlocked, in the settings, MPM option, enter the original data above....
