About a year ago, I accidentally erased the firmware on the SPI ROM of a Thunderbolt retimer in my computer, mistaking it for the main BIOS chip. Since then, the Thunderbolt controller no longer appears in Device Manager, and I'm unable to use Thunderbolt functionality.

For context, my system has two retimers: UT5 and UT3. The one I erased is the UT3, which uses a W25Q80DVSSIG chip. In an attempt to fix this, I used a CH341A programmer to copy the ROM data from the UT5 retimer to the UT3, hoping it would restore functionality. Unfortunately, this didn't...

Good day, I need some assistance with this laptop. It came in with no power after a liquid spill. The device was very dusty and one of the inrush mosfets exploded, the other was shorted and of course a shorted 19V power rail. I replaced the following defective components to clear the short:
PQB4 (AON7380, this one blew up, pads needed to be rebuilt, no vias)
PQB3 (EMP21N03HC, this one was shorted)
PQB1 (L2N7002WT1G, burnt and cracked)
PUV2 (QD9619AQR1, shorted)
After replacing these components and checking to make sure there were no shorts, the laptop powered on for...

Hello everyone I have an ACER Laptop NITRO AN515-57 51k6 there is no indicator light when the mains is present (240v in France) the 19v is present at the charger output I changed the battery still the same problem! After opening the Laptop on the motherboard we can see a burnt component (probably on the power supply line) 5mm on the side 4* 5 pins! Hi team
Originally I unlocked advanced settings in bios change a setting and bricked the laptop. I tried to learn all the settings which in future I still plan to learn with caution now.
So adding another problem after mistakenly flashing my spi chip I reflashed it with the back up file It doesn't seem to be in the state it was before hand.
I'm using ezp2023 and both bios and spi chips are
