        Good evening my fellow techie!

Electronics is one of my hobby.
It started when I was kid, I learned how to read resistor, making LED with 555 IC Timer, designing and making my own PCB.
As technology getting more and more advances, now I'm learning about SMD and microsoldering.

              Ahoy,

First i gotta say im on the wrong side of the ocean here since my experiences are mostly related to software. Usually that means i have no idea how to fix anything physical but i do have great exp of releasing the magic smoke out from the chip, soldering 2 track that shouldnt be soldered and measuring voltages on ampere setting, often with no load, hence in actual, im bad-capkapitan, lol.

Anyway, hardware intrigued me (especially computer stuff that no longer work without something exploding) so my purpose here is to re-learn whatever have i picked up along my battle with hardcore-ware stuff so i can start dissing company that purposely designed a hard-to-diagnose-and-repair motherboard and pcbs when i finally able to resurrect a seemingly dead one. Hope so..

Oh, did i mention i have zero formal training in electronic and i only download schematic because it look neat? yeah, im just a person with a crappppy 30/90w solder iron that wont tin and lead-free 1.2mm solder wire that wont melt and sputter when it did, which i used mostly for burning a hole on my table nowadays. Mediocre days and hopefully that sailed ship will return and get an upgrade to its its arsenal. So long..

              Yoha!

                Good day,

I'm a moderate DIY repair guy. Learned a bunch from Louis Rossmann videos. Have a collection of "vintage" micro and ultraportable laptops (mostly Sony). Looking to keep learning new things.

thanks to everyone who make this forum possible

                          Good Day:

I have been interested in electronics repair since I was a teen. Started off repairing tube TVs. I used to hang out at a local TV repair shop, that was over 50 years ago now. I took electronics class in high school and from there had become an auto mechanic (for about 15yrs). After that I started my own HVAC repair business (for about 23yrs). And I ended my working career going to work for the county (I live in) school system (As a HVAC/ Plumbing supervisor) (for the last 12yrs). I have kept up my electronics skills over the years, repairing computers (recapped motherboards etc)., TVs, audio equipment, some appliances, automotive electronics and what ever else. Now I hope to complete my electronics work shop and get much deep in the repair of electronic items.

I am happy to be a member of this forum!!
