• Hello, hopefully someone can help me with my problem.
I own a HP Model: HP 840 G5, Product ID: 2FA64AV, Serial Number: 5CG9020Z5Q and I have a problem where as soon as I turn it on, I get a Power button light, I can hear the fans spinning at full speed but I got no screen.
I have read on the forum that this problem could well be a BIOS problem.
I have tried a few of the posts with BIOS files attached, post #318, [NODE="311"]shuttle av11 - 2700 uF - solution please[/NODE]
My CHIP is an MX25L25673GZ41-08

• Just a bump for posts 64 & 66.
Hopefully someone can help me. With the bin file "084AA, without any modification" I can Read, Erase, Write, BlankCheck successfully but when Verifying I always get "Verification error on address: 0x00000001, Device: 0xFF, Buffer: 0x78"...

• Yes, I am sorry about that, I forgot about that part.
In these darn HP Models its even hard to read them right from the way they are imprinted.

• Hello, hopefully someone can help me with my problem.
I have a motherboard EPK50 LA-G073P Rev.1.0, HP model 250 G7.
I have read the forum and from what I can understand my BID is 42 49 44 so Post #46 should work for me (084AA).
My CHIP is an XMP XM25QU64A
The only BIOS reading tool that I have is a CH341A MinProgrammer.
I have attached the Original BIOS.

My problem is that the only available software that recognizes the chip is NeoProgrammer V2.2.0.10
Whenever I write the BIOS it ends successfully but on verification I get "Verification...

• Hello. I am having a black screen of death with my notebook.
Whenever I try to turn the thing on, it turns a really dim black light on the monitor but nothing shows up & all peripherals dont work. (Keyboard/HDMI Output ect.)
I figured it can definitely be a bad BIOS & I am certain Lenovo did efff my notebook by itself.
& I was right in my presumption. I read through the different posts in here and I found my solution from post #29.
I have backed up my faulty BIOS & applied the posted BIOS and until now everything is working pretty much faultlessly.
