I have a TV problem that started when powered on after a thunderstorm. I tuned it on, and it commenced to popping like hot popcorn. I restarted with the same results. Tearing it down to test I noticed A red LED(D1) next to speaker output plugs, when rear power switch toggled on. When TV turned on, I discovered (D2) red LED on. I had no picture or sound at this point. I checked board voltages at both power on levels and found on board (main board) to be missing +5vdc @CMO, and 12vdc @LPL. What do I look for now? I tried to find that board for sale, but no one had it on hand.

by zoltorGood afternoon. The Canon G3430 is lit by lightning after the firmware, it does not respond to the buttons. I did not flash it, they brought it with traces of soldering, and all three chips. SPI - IC401 25Q128, IC402 25Q32, IC403 M24128. The SPI flash drives may have been confused in places. The QM8-0985 formatter. I've tried all the firmware available on the Internet, and the result is the same. I ask you to send dumps of chips, if someone has the same revision of the board, also tell me if the location of the SPI flash corresponds to the position numbers. Thank you very much in advance.Today, 12:40 AM

by Bardou KariHi,
I’m trying to fix an HP EliteBook 840 G6 that stopped working after a lightning storm.
– Charger is OK and 19V is present at the motherboard.
– No charging LED, no fan, no reaction.
– I don’t see any 3.3V or 5V near the coils.
– Battery is unplugged.
– I’m new to board repair but can use a multimeter.
I added a clear photo of the board.
Any idea where to start or what to check next?
Thanks a lot for your help!...07-01-2025, 10:45 AM -

Just starting out in electronics repair and teaching myself as I go.
I have here a Corsair RM650 ATX PSU, which I'm treating as a learning project that if successful may be used in my PC.
Fuse was blown, probable power surge from lightning, followed the circuit and found, a dead relay and all the diodes and resistors around the bridge rectifier shorted. Rectifier and MOSFETs seem fine on the LCR.
Also found these tiny diodes on the other side, a few shorted, the rest seem fine. But they're not all marked as Zener on the pcb. So I'm unsure what these should be replaced with.... -
by pflHello Everyone.

human interface is working fine
Input levels are...-
