Samsung pn51f5000 Plasma

Working on a once in while start plasma. Two led flashes usually and no 15v or 207 58. Once in while 15v comes up and stays set works fine. Tried unloading. Acts like a bad cap.

I would suspect one or more electrolytic caps on powerboard, the plasmas are getting pretty long in the tooth, tho some last a whole lot longer, electrolytics are only expected to last 10 years or so, quality isnt like it used to be, with all the counterfeits and general crap coming from china.

Checked or replace most on power supply.No change. Think problem on VS board. Seems to be temperature sensitive.

I suspect a dry joint, perhaps a BGA issue with the mainboard.

Bad connection somewhere on driver board.

Seems to be bad connection on LJ41-10317A which I called driver board or main board. I usually call the logic board the main. Not sure what term BGA means.

Ball grid array, the solder balls underneath the processor. They can crack breaking the connection. Apply some heat with a hair dryer and see if it helps with the turning on.
