KDL46W905A , using iPhone as a mobile hot spot help .

Hi all

Customer was using like this before i repaired TV .

Carried out a complete reset at workshop , therefore all settings lost .

Spent at least half an hour trying to set up her iPhone as a hot spot last night after delivering TV back but couldn't work it out .

Anyone know the correct procedure .

I also suggested she checks out the Sony consumer support site .

Just had an update from customer .

Managed to get her old iPhone to work ,but having issues with her new one .

I did check for software updates when i had TV at workshop , but latest version already installed .

It's her new iPhone 13 that she is having issues with .

What did you do ? What could you not work out ?
It might be different on the 13 but it was Settings > Mobile Data > Personal Hotspot or Settings > Personal Hotspot

think I interpreted it wrong, looks like you mean she was using 13 before the reset.

if the TV is detecting the device as the only source of energy, but cannot connect. Restoring your Wi-Fi settings to their defaults should fix the issue. You must enter a correct password to log in.

Hi & thanks again for advice .

Just to be clear , she can connect & use her older model iPhone , but not the 13 .

Suspect it may be a compatibility issue ,but no later update available for TV .

She is currently in contact with Sony consumer support .

Will update with more info ,or hopefully a solution .
