    Samsung HCP4241W

This is a rear projection TV. I have replaced the convergence ICs and DCU and I now need to re-align the convergence.
Does anyone have the method of getting into the service menu and re-aligning and storing the data?
    Thanks

I recommend that you first check below all 3 crts for any coolant leaks (clear liquid on or below crts or on neckboards, also look for moisture on wires that hang below crts). I have had many samsung bigscreens with this problem, and you HAVE to correct this first if you see it.
Also I recommend to take off the back and look down into the lens's at the tube while the set is playing. Almost all of the recent samsung bigscreens seem to have contaminated coolant in the green and blue crts. If the crt looks clear like the red one usually does, then it makes sense to go forward with convergance adjustments...but if any are cloudy looking, the convergance won't set up properly.
You will also have to have the origonal remote control.
Here is a link to a website the s.m. can be downloaded from: http://www.my.electronicshelponline.com/Samsung_65.html
These can be hairy sets to repair...

Thanks for the info. I will check all you have mentioned. From a servicability standpoint, I like the way it is laid out, we'll see how the rest of this goes.

I forgot to mention that you need to check all resistors and picofuses around the convergance I.C.s before turning the set on. Often when a convergance I.C. blows, it will change values or open one or more resistors in its surrounding circuit. If not changed when installing new convergance output I.C.s, the resistor can, in some cases take out the new I.C.
Also this set has convergance sensors located around the perimeter inside the screen frame, so it has an auto convergance feature. Most sets that have this feature will require a convergance jig or screen overlay to do the adjustments properly.
