Have a Samsung plasma PN51F4500AF with no signs of life. no +5.3V when plug in and Main board disconnected. does anybody have schematic for this PWB ? Q4000, Q4002, Q4003, Q4004, and fuses are ok
Thank you to the guys at HEGE supporting Badcaps [ HEGE ] [ HEGE DEX Chart ]

It will not work forcibly, since the logic is soldered on the main board.

Check the PS_ON pin on CN4007 when the power button is pressed, does this voltage change? if not the problem is likely on the main board.
The main board contains the control board as well so the tv can't be forced on without it.
It may be a faulty eeprom, corrupt data. shopjimmy has them availableLast edited by R_J; 12-27-2021, 12:12 PM.

Re: samsung BN44-00599A PWB
when I first measured it - I read 0 volts (maybe had wrong pin). took PWB off and looked at it - re-soldered 20 cold solder joints - they looked suspicious but not real bad. re-installed board and have standby power.
power plug in - all pins on CN4007 are 0 volts except pin 14 (standby) - 5.2 Volts and
pin 15 (PS_ON) - 3.7 Volts. pressing power button does nothing. no change.
ordered a used main board.Last edited by ajshoe; 12-27-2021, 04:05 PM.

Re: samsung BN44-00599A PWB
no led on main board.
OK - just figured out how to run test patterns. jumpered 3-4 and jumpered PS_ON to ground. PWB came alive and test patterns on screen appeared ! I must have got a bad main board or joy stick button apparatus is bad. I checked connector CN1201 on main board (joystick button) and couple pins had 13 Mvolts most had 0 volts
Led flashes about 1 sec interval with PS_ON jumpered
Is there a way to test joystick button ?

Re: samsung BN44-00599A PWB
that is the same joystick button. checked all pins on that connector - no 3.3 volts on any pins. does anybody know the voltages for the connector ?
I made an assumption that the main board was the problem. Ordered one EBAY - it does the same thing - NOTHING.
I downloaded a samsung tech sheet - basically said main boards for this tv were produced with a bad chip. tech sheet said to replace main bd and download new software.Last edited by ajshoe; 12-30-2021, 08:18 PM.

There should be A3.3v on one of the pins, you are aware that there are two rows of pins on that connector. The voltages are located on the legend and test points to the right of the connector.Last edited by R_J; 12-30-2021, 09:20 PM.

Re: samsung BN44-00599A PWB
Nov 2013 is mfg'ed AFTER march so the bulletin does not apply to this mainboard.
Here is the legend and the rear of the main board showing the two rows of pins and where they connect to the test points.
The joystick has 8 wires and connects to one of the two rows of pins on cn1202 on the main board.
If it is the bottom row, the 2'nd pin should have A3,3v. if it is the top row, the 6th pin should have A5vLast edited by R_J; 12-30-2021, 10:21 PM.
