I figured they would too as it had been listed for st least a couple of weeks and also the picture they sent of the tv showed it sitting in the packaging if a larger TV so I figure they have already replaced it and will just want to get rid of it.
The only problem with that msy be that they live in a rural area and may have plenty of room to store it till thru hey what they want.

I doubt they will get 200, I think you will be getting that call soon, I wouldn't increase the offer if they do call cuz when they come back to earth, they will know it's a fair offer.

I tried to get them down on price but they are hanging tight with the original price.

I dont think its worth $200 so i have said if they change their mind and want to accept my offer to let me know.

Looks like my dreams of having a 65" tele are blown lol

Just had a thought.

All of the tv's Ive worked on before that have had led issues only did the flash and then no picture type problem.

This one is lighting up normally except for what appears to be two strips.

Would it even light up like this if it had led error?

I finally have the model number and some more photos.

The model is U65E5800FS

I have seen other 65" led strips on ebay for TCL's and yes, they are vertical so I am full of hope for this.

It looks like there is 2 strips out on the tv in the newer pictures.

Also in a vid they sent me, it shows that it is saying "Loading Please Wait" even when it is playing a video? Could it have a software problem as well?

I think I just need to get it for as cheap as possible now. Might offer them $120

I have searched all I know how to for the led strips for this model so I can get a part number, but have found nothing. Could it be a really weird rare model??

Example from shopjimmy (I do not know if you have access to shopjimmy or not). I use their site alot for verification.

You can see lots of info regarding to the strips I.E the strip numbers, substitute, etc.

Also, I could see a vertical strip on a 65 inch have 8 LEDS... they tend to spread them out on those cheaper tv's!

I am talking about the LED strips seller not the TV seller, most LED strips seller do not know what LCD panel model they come from or keep track as to where they come from. Yes it is reliable as long as the LED strip sellers know what you are talking about.

I understand what you are saying, but Im not going to get the seller to pull it apart to get the panel number for me.

I was just more concerned that the panel number is a reliable indicator of the strip model?

Same TV model can use more than one version of the LCD panel or LCD panel manufacturer, I do not go by the model number of the TV, I go by the LCD panel number, but you have to make sure the seller knows what you are talking about, most sellers go by the TV model number.

Is this a reliable method or can it vary?

That would save me pulling it all apart to check the steps

My first thought was they must be running vertical, was going to post that thought BUT I just couldn't take the ridicule I would get if I was wrong...so I didn't.

Interestingly, a quick ebay search for TCL 65" Led strips - a very generic search I know - showed some strips that only had 8 LED's in the line?

In a 65" tv i would expect to see more than that surely if they were horizontal?

There was only 6 strips as well so this makes me think they may well be vertical strips.

But then it all depends on the model....

get the model number, see what the strips look like on google. If they are all the same length and don't have connectors on both ends they may run vertically?

I most certainly will be doing this once I get the info I need, but the lady isnt being quick about getting back to me with the info unfortunately

I would too but im afraid its not an option.

I suppose I could just assume it is the led's and order them in before I open it up. That way Im hopefully only doing it once.

Toshiba LED strips in the 49L621U and 43L621U and 43L420 run vertically. But those are only smaller screens, once TVs get to 65" they do tend to run horizontally. If you get the model number, see what the strips look like on google. If they are all the same length and don't have connectors on both ends they may run vertically?

I know, I haven't seen any running vertically on youtube either?? Doing it twice is a real dilemma, I think I would rather throw something out or move some shit around to store it, instead of doing that whole job twice.

suction cups are a good tool for this type job.

I already have the suctiuon cups and have used them for this purpose already.

My issue is that I will have to do it twice.

Once to see what the issue is and get the right led part numbers and then again after the parts get here. I dont have any spare room to leave it pulled apart waiting for parts unfortunately.

I even have to set up a folding table in the loungeroom to work on any tv I do lol. Not ideal but gets the job done.

Ive had a look at a few vids on these TLC's and their strips but have not seen any running vertically. What are the odds on the same light on each strip going to make a line like that?

MUST be careful with the panel they are flimsy and VERY easy to break, suction cups are a good tool for this type job.

I have found that out on a couple of tv's already, much to my detriment.

They want $200 for it but I reckon its only worth around $100.

It doesnt have original remote (only universal and I hate them), it doesnt have the stand and its an hour drive each way to get the darn thing.
