Never seen a service manual for a LG tv. What is wrong with it? LA series have bad backlights.

Correct. It has a flicker to the left of a screen.
Just wanted to arm myself with the manual first.

The manual won't tell you the most important part that can cause catastrophic damage if missed.

After you've replaced/repaired the LEDs and you've put the polarising sheets in, the black plastic surround is fitted that the LCD panel sits on.
When he LCD panel is placed on it, there are guides so it sits flat. The metal cover is then gently placed over it and pushed down to secure it. As you are going round gently pressing the metal guide down, the chassis can twist slightly causing the LCD to come out of the guide on the corners. If you're not double checking before you push the metal cover down and the screen has popped out of the guide, this cracks the screen.

It actually doesn't look that bad but I can count 4 to 5 LEDs that are out.
The LEDs are obviously in series?

You can either replace the faulty LEDs, align and glue the lenses, turn down the backlights and hope no more fail, or fit a new set of strips. A new set is around $30 Australian dollars from Aliexpress.
