Samsung PN50A450P1DXZC Mainboard

My friend asked me to fix his tv. I confirmed his mainboard is dead. I have the exact same mainboard from a PN42A450P1DZXC. I put it in temporarily and the unit powered up and of course it wasn't a full screen. Can I pull the eeprom from my board and put it on his to get it to work? Or there is more that just that?

You might be able to change the Option Type and Model in the service menu, and also check under PDP Option: Panel Version, Panel Inch and Panel Type

Would I need to swap the eeprom or just go into the service menu?

I would try the service menu first, it might be that easy. I am looking at a service manual for the PN50C450
With power OFF, press: MUTE -> 1 -> 8 -> 2 -> POWER ON

That set is prone to the bad C102 capacitor on the back side of the mainboard.

I can't find C102 on the board but I went into the service menu and changed the board to P450 and 50" and viola! Working tv. Thanks for the help!
