Samsung LED TV MODEL :UE55KU6400UXZT

symptom: no display, no backlight front red led off

but when remove the orange connector that drive the led backlight,the front red led lit and when I change the commands from remote control it blinks.


Any help pls?

With the backlight (orange plug) disconnected, measure the voltage on JP809 (near CNL802) It should be around +200v. Then turn off, reconnect the backlights, and check the voltage again, If the voltage is very low I suspect you have a short in the led string inside the panel.

Hi thanks for the info yes the 200v is present so the supply is good and when connect them the voltage drops down ,i'm going to open the panel to find which string is faulty,

I have seen some Samsungs that when one of the led's shorts it will burn through to the aluminum strip the led's are mounted on, this strip is usually at ground so it can kill the led voltage and shut down the power supply.
