Hi all, I was able to get some great help on the forums about a month ago. Just looking for a little more, as I am currently stumped and having trouble locating information. It was on the LG MU-42PM11 tv and I got replacement 33uF/25v caps for the Ysus/Zsus boards. I have 2 locations on the Ysus board that are reading incorrectly. If the caps are tested off of the board they read within range of 33uF, if they are placed in these specific locations I am reading 500uF on one, and 120uF on the other. No matter which Ysus board, as I have quite a few that I am working with. Don't understand this concept. Everything is discharged and boards are out of TV and have been for months.

Re: Caps reading over uF
Also keep in mind, with many capacitors in parallel, the ESR lowers. (better). That confounds your checks. Which means pulling suspect capacitors and check. Some items easily by unplugging the power wiring plugs first to remove extra capacitors out of circuit.
Don't be fooled by a shorted diode on power circuits especially power supply or switching regulators, some have a diode, some do not. (Shorted diode or shorted transistor causes ESR to see low ESR as well.) That is where multimeter is put in use to confirm that not fooling you.

by leggLG42PC3D -UD originally with green lamp but no display or audio.
Owner says was working, then went 'pop'.
All 5V caps bulging. replaced.
All PSU output voltages within spec but -Vy is low on YSUS.
One of three parallel fets between SUS_OUT and SUS_DN is zenering,
eventually shorts DG. Replaced all 3 - -Vy now OK.
Y scan buffer test point does not follow YSUS output below -50V
Note: This unit seems to expect YSUS output to park at -Vy in between
drive signal pattern periods. A replacement drive signal board confirms this....11-18-2021, 11:49 AM -
by SuperAmanI did an hdmi port repair for a PS5 and I lost the small diode z71 SOD923 on the back of the port. I did a trace repair for pin 19 of the port as well. Without the diode I get no display at all. I tried replacing the diode twice but after I get flux on it the marking comes off so I can't tell if I have it on the right orientation. When I measure I get a reading of 1(open) and 923 in diode mode. Is 923 a normal reading for these and also which side should the reading be with regards to the arrow on the board?...

by TakeatrySamsung QLED QN50Q — purchased 2022 started experiencing a delay in the picture coming on in the morning less than 2 years later. Did not know the term boot loop at that time. As the loop delay ran into a few minutes did all the recommended troubleshooting, soft and hard reset, changing cables and outlet locations, no help. As the delay increased contacted Samsung tech group and allow them remote access the tv. Tech was moving too fast to see exactly what he was doing but this ultimately it was also no help. Lived with the delay until it stretched out over 6 hours. Pulled of off the back cover...2 Photos

by Fuzzy FixHowdy all I have a 90uF Capacitor 200/275 VRMS and measured the ESR . Reading says 00.3 Ohms and about 1/2 a second later 00,0 and says low ESR (Really No Kidding).
I have checked it on the multimeter and reading is 94.7uF well within soec as ir has a 25% tolerance on it.
Can anyone advise me is this capacitor likely to fail in the near future or still good to use.1 Photo-
