    N8-42P650A11 Trouble shooting

    INSIGNIA N8-42P650A11 Troubleshooting this samsung tv rebrand insignia.


    Get a series of 5 relay clicks

    checks
    SMPS TO MAINBOARD CHECKS
    CN801 TO MAINBOARD


    HERE ARE ALL THE PINS FROM POWER SUPPLY TO MAIN i TESTED
    PIN 1 PS_ON TEST O VOLTS nOT SURE IF THIS IS CORRECT i GET NO VOLTS HERE
    PIN 2 STD5V TEST 5.2 VOLTS TEST GOOD logic board connected 5.2 i do get standby only then
    PIN 3 GND
    PIN 4 15VOLTS 15.01 VOLTS TEST OK logic board connected 0 volts tested
    PIN 5 GND
    PIN 6 GND
    PIN 7 5.3 VOLTS 5.17 VOLTS ? logic board connected 0 volts tested
    PIN 8 5.3 VOLTS 5.17 VOLTS ?logic board connected 0 volts tested
    PIN 9 GND
    PIN 10 15VOLTS 15VOLTS OK logic board connected 0 volts tested
    PIN 11 15VOLTS 15 VOLTS OK logic board connected 0 volts tested
    PIN 12 5.3 VOLTS 5.16 TEST ? logic board connected 0 volts tested


    LOGIC BOARD CHECKS RELAY WILL CLICK AND VOLTAGES GO TO 0 ALL PINS
    WHEN LOGIC I NOT CONNECTED I GET THESE ON THE SUPPLY
    PIN 1 5.3 CONNECTED 0 NOT CONNECTED VOLTAGE IS STEADY
    PIN 2 5.3 CONNECTED 0 VOLTS CONNECTED DROPS TO 0
    PIN 3 GND
    PIN 4 GND
    PS_ON
    VS_ON

    Anytime the logic board connect im gettting a relay click on the power supply . I can connect all boards without the logic board the power supply wont click 5 times.

      Originally you'd plug power supply into it and it would take up to 1.2 amps and then drop to 200 milliamps and then go back up again to 1.2, staying all the while at 5 volts. Pressing power button would results in power LED blinking amber 3 times. 3.3 volt rail, 5.1 volt rail present, main power rail 8.8 volts. Power button test pads near EC chip 2.7 volts.

      Hi all,
      this unit comes from a samsumg LCD TV LE32C530F1W which stopped working after making a strong noise like something was exploded inside of it.
      I opened it and found that fuse FP801S was blown, capacitor CP814 was completely disintegrated and MOSFET QP801S was shorted.
      I replaced all of them and instead of the fuse I connected a 100 Watt bulb. Then, without connecting it to other TV boards, I switched it on, but the bulb begun to blink.
      I thought that maybe the bulb was somehow interfering with the normal operation of the power supply, so I replaced it with a fuse,...

      Hi All,

      Need help.

      I have a samsung un60j620dafxza led tv. When I plug it in it has no display, no sounds, and no standby lights.

      So I opened the tv and disconnected the power to the mainboard and the backlight powered up. This according to many people says that this is a mainboard
      problem. I checked the voltage coming from the stb and I read 1.3 volts on pins 1,3,5 and 7 which are low volts instead of 13 volts which i think the lcd panel
      might be drawing too much power from the power supply that it prevents the right voltage going to the mainboard....

      I hope this is the right forum to post in despite not technically being a repair, but still a question of swapping boards.

      I thought I'd explore the possibility to upgrade an existing working Samsung ue55nu7096u with the logic board (and power board if needed) of a newer model (ue55ru7105k) of the same size and appearance (and resolution). The reason being I'd like the extra inputs of that board including component in, an extra HDMI port and bluetooth. Its panel is broken so I have no use for the board otherwise.

      The models launched in 2018 and 2019 respectively....
