If you look at post 26 i removed both ribbons to the lcd panel and the set still goes off/on the only way it stays on is if the T-Con ribbon is pulled either from main board or T-Con.

sorry ron missed that post is the tcon a reasonable price? i would try one just too rule it out

Also when set is on for a short period it does display a good picture.?

I have only see one so far vince and that is £30.00 the main board cost £80.00 i am still looking to see if i can see any more.

so your saying if you leave the set on while its power cycling by itself a picture does appear does the set set on or always power cycling?

I am looking at UE boards for Samsung on Ebay i am on page 78 at the moment and only seen one and it is off emos and they are covering half the picture. If all fails i will send them a message for a clear picture ?

Here is a video of the picture while it is switching off/on and of the rear where you can see the T-Con .
The picture was better than this Yesterday when it was up the right way and with the outer frame on.
Hope this works as i have not added a video before ?

I have added a more clear picture of the P/S board and i have changed the cap mentioned but on testing when removed it reads ok.

The bump on the top was a clear defective hint, measuring it without any load is not full proof (if it failed the test then bad for sure, but the other way around isn't always true).

Have you measure the power rails voltages?
I'm quite sure one, or more, are faulty when in load.
As mentioned before pay special attention to fast decays in voltage power rail levels when the unit goes from OFF to ON (Use an analog multimeter or an oscilloscope).

If any one can tell me what they think ?
But i am thinking it is the T-Con board that maybe at fault.

I do appreciate what Zombi is saying that it looks like a main board issue . But what i do find strange is that a replacement main board is giving the exact same fault , surely there are many faults that can happen but the exact same fault !! I am not convinced.

And my oscilloscope is a really old one not sure if it still works ?

check the settings and make sure its set to public as you may have it set so only you can view it.
