OK this is a weird one.. I know it's definitely main board related but scene if anyone else has had this issue before.
My grandfather called me earlier to tell me that his Samsung which is owned since new, And he rarely ever uses it, turn on by itself this morning at 3:00 a.m. Scared the shit out of him because he heard talking in his house. He walked out to turn it off by remote and it would not turn off also tried pressing the power button on the TV also would not turn it off. I checked it out amd no buttons function nor does the remote function the TV. I tried the remote on another TV and it works fine. So he unplugged it now when I plug it back in it automatically turns on but nothing is active on the button keypad. It all my years of TV repair never had one turn on by itself and lock up.
I've had buttons get stuck but this one has no stuck buttons. I'm assuming a failure on the main board of some type.
I've Always wondered how his TV was finally going to bite the dust and shit out. Guess I found my answer today.
