    Samsung UN55D6003SFXZA

I have a Samsung 55" LCD. When you plug the TV in, it powers up displays the samsung logo and then displays HDMI2 in the corner. After this the TV does not respond to anything. I can touch all the buttons on the front of the TV and i get the red little acknowledging it sensed my button push but the screen does not change. The only way to power down the TV is to unplug it.
From the reading i have done is that the problem is the main board. Is there something on the main board that is the problem or is the only solution to put in a new board? There doesn't seem to be any instock that i have found. Can i use a different main board?

    Any help would be Great!

Do you get a picture when you apply something to HDMI 2?

Sounds like firmware. It's a lockup condition. Eeprom failure or nvram.

Turn off the TV and get a hair dryer and heat up the main board. Especially around 8 pin devices.

I tried the Oven at 385 for 10 minute trick and that didn't work. Would the hair dryer work differently?

Yeah the oven trick is a really bad idea. This problem manifests itself from a faulty regulator not something that's not making a good connection. What you would be doing with a hair dryer is temporarily heating up and IC well it's still hot. Then powering on the TV

A hair dryer on the eeprom sometimes relieves it of the lock up condition or something wrong because the eeprom esentially internally damaged.

So powering up while still hot, is this only a temporary or permanent fix? or is this a way to test?

So i took a hair dyer to eeprom, and then turned on the tv. no change.
I also tried the eeprom reset (unbricking) from the wiki website and again no change.

Thanks for the avatar compliment. I have been waiting for 2 years for the new movie to come out.

Damn.. stubborn board. Well I vote on eeprom or nvram issue. These D series boards seem to have alot of issues lately. What is your VCC on eeprom voltage reading anyway?

What happens. Lock up in service mode too? If not do a factory reset there

Don't need the original remote as long is the channel buttons work the mute button works in the power button works it's all you need with a universal remote.

Do you have any Samsung TV remote? Any Samsung remote will work any set

That should note that the D series main boards had serious problems with NV ram also. I managed to get my D series that I have out of boot loop by heating the hell out of the eeprom and the NV ram. It has been one year and it still works good. Not saying that your particular TV is going through the bootloop problem but I think it all stems from the same issue, Yours is just taking it a little further than mine did

Help Needed: Samsung UE55MU8000 Dead - Possible Main Board Issue
                                          by Asraf Atb
                                          Hi everyone,

Im looking for some advice regarding my Samsung UE55MU8000 TV with main board model BN94-11606C. The TV suddenly stopped turning on and now shows no signs of life at all not even the standby light at the bottom.

Initially, I suspected an issue with the PSU, so I took it to a repair center. They tested it and confirmed that the PSU works perfectly, even on other TVs. Based on that, I started investigating the main board.

I disconnected the main board from the PSU, and the backlight turned on, which seems to confirm the main board is the issue....

I have Samsung Smart TV UA65MU6100WXXY version DA01

Now years ago it started intermittently playing up after a lighting strike. Lighting hit the block of units i was living in at the time. Ever since that night the TV started having a mind of its own, It would randomly turn itself off or on, and all inputs stopped responding like HDMI, aerial, but USB still worked. Anyway, over the next few months...

If they are not compatible why did Samsung give them the same part number to begin with?
