Samsung LN40B550K1F no power
I acquired this tv with out any knowledge of what the problem was. I plugged in and had no power. Opened it up checked the caps and fuses. Caps looked good. First fuse closes to power plug was good. Second fuse was blown. I swapped it and it plugged the set in and it immediately blew. Where do i look next?? attached is a picture of the board with the fuse that is blown circled in red....

Re: Samsung UN55D6003SFXZA
So with no luck on this course of action, i am guessing that the next thing to do would be replace the board? I have seen other posts about putting in a different main board and then changing settings in the service menu. If i can't find the same board how do i go about finding a compatible main board that i can install?Last edited by PeteTait; 01-30-2018, 01:56 PM.

Re: Samsung UN55D6003SFXZA
That was a no go. I am not able to power the tv off. The second i plug in the set it turns on. The only way to power it off is to unplug it.

Re: Samsung UN55D6003SFXZA
So i took a hair dyer to eeprom, and then turned on the tv. no change.
I also tried the eeprom reset (unbricking) from the wiki website and again no change.
Thanks for the avatar compliment. I have been waiting for 2 years for the new movie to come out.

Re: Samsung UN55D6003SFXZA
So powering up while still hot, is this only a temporary or permanent fix? or is this a way to test?

I tried the Oven at 385 for 10 minute trick and that didn't work. Would the hair dryer work differently?

Samsung UN55D6003SFXZA
I have a Samsung 55" LCD. When you plug the TV in, it powers up displays the samsung logo and then displays HDMI2 in the corner. After this the TV does not respond to anything. I can touch all the buttons on the front of the TV and i get the red little acknowledging it sensed my button push but the screen does not change. The only way to power down the TV is to unplug it.
From the reading i have done is that the problem is the main board. Is there something on the main board that is the problem or is the only solution to put in a new board? There doesn't seem to be any instock that...

Westinghouse DW39F1Y1 no backlight
So i read some of the other Threads for this TV and tried to follow. I attached 2 pictures if i need more i can get them. I have no Backlight. I Tested the Female connector to the LEDs and nothing was shorting to ground. I Tested Voltage on the connector on the PWS board and had the 26-28 volts standby and Here is what i found different that i havent heard anyone say anything about. When i powered it on to test voltage i got the 80v right away but then it steadily started going down the longer it was on. What do i look for next?...

Re: Samsung ln46c530f1f no backlight
Ok.. No I didn't check the fuse on the board. How do i check that?
BN44-00418A
B13V/13, B13V/12.7, B13V/12.7, GND/0, GND/0, B5V/5, B5V/5, 13 18VS/12V, 13 18VS/12V
LAMP_DET/.02, SW_INV/3.6, BWM_DIM/5.1, H_SYNC/.02, GND/0, GND/0, B5V/5V, A5V/5V, POW_ON/OFF /.78
I checked these by unplugging the connector.. so i am not sure if what you meant by "on". I had it plugged into power.
What kind of Capacitor is that white one. I am familiar with the other type.. Where would i find...Last edited by PeteTait; 10-22-2015, 09:05 PM.

Sanyo DP46848 Dark line
So i picked up this TV with a cut power cord and no idea what was wrong with it. Fixed the power cord to find the Dark band across the top starting on the right hand side. It flickers and fades in and out and then stays dark.
This is a new one to me and will take some investigating. Does anyone have any suggestions where to start?...
