Could be worth examining the speakers themselves in particular the edging. I have found with age and heat that deteriorates and separates. That will stop the speaker from working correctly
Its normal that the tv shuts off when you remove the loudspeaker plug from the mainboard.
The mainboard detects a problem with the sound and goes into protection.
You need to figure out if you have the same problem with headphones plugged in. Does it happen with HDMI or also with component/scart etc?
I only repair Panasonic plasma tv's! Currently owning a TX-P55VT50 and still searching for a ZT60!
I wanted to test loudspeaker plug, if loudspeaker plugs are defective therefore remove loudspeaker plugs from the mainboard.
unfortunately not yet tested with headphones
