Panasonic VIERA TC-P50GT25 Endless loop of clicks.

    Hi guys,

I have seen this asked a couple of places, but have never seen any response or resolution to this particular problem and I'm hoping one of you gurus has the answer or at least where to start.

I have a Panasonic VIERA TC-P50GT25 from 2011 and 3 times in the past 3 years when I turned it on, the light will turn on solid red (no blinking) and it will click as if turning on (black screen) and then click as if turning off again. This cycle will repeat endlessly. 2 audbile clicks in an attempt to turn on, 2 clicks off etc, always a solid red light. This has always resolved itself in the few times it happened in the past, but its been this way for a week now and is unable to get itself out of this cycle.

Anyone have any ideas or where to start? I dont mind pulling out the multimeter if necessary or changing some caps if its a known issue.

    Thanks!

Can you post some clear focused picture of the circuit boards.
Willing to help but I'm no expert.

I sure can ... In the meantime, there was an interesting development today. After I hit the power button on the TV, I also hit the menu and or source button a few times and after a few seconds the screen actually turned on. Heres the interesting part....

The screen turned on to the choose your language screen. I let it sit a couple of minutes then pressed enter to select english and it immediately gave that audible click and the screen turned right off.

I was able to this again again, leaving it on for about 10-15 minutes where the screen stayed on the whole time on the choose your language screen. The second I pressed enter the screen turned off and gave me that click as if it was turned off.

Now .. When you select the language or utilize another board which is where this issue comes into play? Is the language screen in its bios (do these TV's even have a bios)?

It is hitting a wall somewhere that will turn it off immediately.

      Thanks guys!

Well this looks like a mainboard issue to me. Especially when you get the option to choose language. ( TV reset itself ). Maybe EEPROM problem?
You can relate it to the bios in a pc. Remove battery and date/time is gone.

Ps , dont leave the tv on the language screen because of burn in.

Mainboard is the board with the HDMI ports on it. Capacitors dont fail on these Panasonic plasma tv's. They are build very well.

It's unlikely these dumps will help as it's sounds mainbaord issue or the 48pin NAND flash IC8501.

If you do use these, copy and back up your originals first. If you get the TV running with these I would not mind knowing what hrs come up in srv tool as this is meant to be from a brand new tv with cracked panel.

Is there a way to verify and/or test the issue is indeed the main board? If so, are there any fixes aside from replacing it?

            Thanks

Is there anything I should be looking for in particular? The boards seem to look ok.

There is no problem with the other boards.

The fix is what TW2005 said. You need to reflash the EEPROM with the data he provided.
If that is to hard....get a new mainboard.

I never said that. Also in case you did not pickup, I can't get the data of the 48 pin NAND. I don't know the solution, definitely mainboard.

This is a head scratcher. I held down the enter button when selecting the language button and it powered the screen back on and is currently still working this morning.

This one seems random, as there are no blink codes and no real rhyme or reason behind it.

Samsung QLED QN50Q — purchased 2022 started experiencing a delay in the picture coming on in the morning less than 2 years later. Did not know the term boot loop at that time. As the loop delay ran into a few minutes did all the recommended troubleshooting, soft and hard reset, changing cables and outlet locations, no help. As the delay increased contacted Samsung tech group and allow them remote access the tv. Tech was moving too fast to see exactly what he was doing but this ultimately it was also no help. Lived with the delay until it stretched out over 6 hours. Pulled of off the back cover...

                        Hi Badcaps,

I've had a friend discard a TH-65DX700Z Pansonic Viera Television and I've decided to have a go at repairing it. If possible could I please get some advice in terms of diagnosing the problem so I can purchase the appropriate parts for repair whether it be components, a repair kit or a replacement board. I am happy to post pictures if required.

                        TV Details:

                        Model # - TH-65DX700Z

                        Symptoms:

The television turns on and displays a picture then makes a clicking sound and turns off.

I haven't opened it up yet but...

                        Hello community,
I am hoping that you could help me diagnose and find solution for my problem with HP ZBook 17 G3 T7V35ES.

I will try to describe my problem by posting exactly what I asked on official HP support forum, on reddit, etc.. (basically everywhere I posted, but got zero solution/help).

Original post from 14.12.2020 at HP Support Forum : (link here)

Hope you read it all, because I will continue the story - after around 4 months from the time I wrote that original post - the notebook turned on correctly...

Less than a year out of warranty, samsung UE49MU6105K craps out, they've got this designed obsolescence down to an exact science of self destruct when out of warranty...

Screen started to show horizontal lines and ghosted image at the bottom, then turned off by itself. Did software update, to no avail of the line problem, and got a boot loop after some minutes of watching TV. This boot loop will turn on the backlights for some seconds the sound comes on, the image will turn dark very fast and then it reboots again. Pressing power button will not put it on standby. Disconnecting...

                        by Stefano Crivellari
Hi, I wonder if anyone can help me fix my Lenovo Legion 5 (15ITH6H) laptop. Basically, after a windows update the computer would not boot anymore. When powering on the laptop the screen has no backlight and nothing would show up, using an external monitor did not help. However, the laptop would still spin up the fans and turn on the keyboard backlight. The keyboard backlight intensity function key would work and the power button led and the charging led are also working. I've tried every possible combination of key press and power button hold down time but did not change anything. At this point...
