Hi All,
My plasma is doing a video on and then sometimes video not on problem.
Sometimes the TV will turn on and the image will be fine, no lines, flickering, all menu options good, brightness change, contrast, cinema mode etc.
I can then turn it off, then on again, the LG logo will come up, then no picture. Sound will be there. (I use a WD Live TV mp4 media as source on HDMI 1).
On/off a few times and still no pict. Leave it a few mins unplugged and then viola, back again.
I have also just noticed when I have a pic, if I select Test 3D in the menu, then the pic will go and not return, until I do the unplugging thing.)
I have looked at all the caps on all the boards, all look pristine, not a trace of bulging. TV manufactured 2013.
If the picture is good when it does work, then would the Yzus and Xsus be okay? (I am an amateur and pulled those words from articles I have read).
Is it likely to be the Control/Logic board with the BGA onboard?
Any help appreciated, it is getting annoying doing the whole power on/off thing.
Addition: If it is the Control/Logic board, is the 60PB690V the same as the 50PB690V board if I have to replace?
Many thanks in advance for your help.
